JTKSM investigates, handles and resolves complaints on labour disputes between employees and employers to ensure a stable and harmonious industrial relation, as well as to promote compliance and comprehensive understanding of labour laws.
Among the issues that can be lodged are Late payment of wages by employer, Copy of employment contract not given to employees, Copy of salary statement not given to employees, Maternity benefits and payment of maternity allowances not provided and Incompliance of minimum wage by employer.
